Fenty Pro Filt’R Matte Powder Foundation Review

Fenty Pro Filt’R Matte Powder Foundation Review

When it comes to shopping for foundation I ALWAYS go for liquid. However, I recently received the new Pro Filt’r Powder Foundation from Fenty and of course I had to try it out.

When using a powder foundation it’s incredibly important to make sure your skin is hydrated and moisturized. I recommend starting with a moisturizer (the thicker the better in this case), priming your skin (try to avoid mattifying primers if possible since you’re already using a powder foundation) and a hydrating mist. I’ve been obsessed with the MILK hydrating mist lately, it’s amazing.

Secondly, if you have any redness or dark spots you’ll want to go over them with some concealer prior to applying the powder. I like to use a concealer the same shade as my skin tone. However if you have any stubborn dark spots you should use an orange color corrector before going in with a concealer that matches your skin. Personally, I love the L’Oreal Infallible Full Coverage Concealer on the shade Toffee. You can blend this out with your fingers or a damp beauty blender/sponge.

The Fenty Pro Filt’r Powder Foundation comes with a sponge, but I like to use it for touch ups throughout the day. To apply the powder I prefer a powder puff sponge since it gives you the best coverage. You can also use a beauty blender/sponge or a makeup brush. Fluffy makeup brushes will give you light, natural coverage while powder puffs and sponges will give you more coverage. After applying the powder foundation you can finish with a setting spray so that it doesn’t look too powdery.

I love that this powder foundation is buildable and comes in 50 shades! It’s also sweat, humidity and crease resistant. I always grab this powder foundation whenever I’m working from home or want to go for a light/natural makeup look. I also enjoy the fact that it has buildable coverage, to so you can glam up your makeup look or keep it simple. I would definitely recommend this for my oily skin girls! You can also wear this on top of your foundation as well!

XO,

Jamie
