This week I’m sending a friendly reminder to love yourself girl or nobody will (we can thank brother J.Cole for that mighty word lol). We get so caught up in our singleness or taken-ness during Valentine’s Day that we forget about self-love and celebrating ourselves.

So here’s a few easy ways to show some love to yourself this Valentine’s week:

 

  1. Dress to Impress…Yourself!

It’s no secret that when you look good, you feel good. We have no problem dressing to impress others, and we should really keep that same energy when it comes to ourselves (to be honest I already do). So when people ask, who are you getting all cute for? Or do you have a date tonight? You can say this is all me, for me! I ordered this super cute dress from SHEIN and I absolutely love it!

  1. Pampering

You cannot go wrong with a pampering day! This is the ultimate way to show yourself just how much you appreciate YOU and to relax. Get a facial, deep tissue massage or simply a mani pedi — and remember, you deserve it.

  1. Solo Date Night

You don’t have to be in a relationship to wine and dine yourself at a fancy restaurant. Understandably, some may find it a little uncomfortable to be surrounded by couples on Valentine’s Day. If this is you, maybe stop by before Valentine’s Day or earlier in the day. If you have single friends, you can even make a girl’s night out of it!

  1. Special Delivery!

Who doesn’t love getting flowers or Edible Arrangements? Especially on Valentine’s Day! It’s easy to feel left out and even a little bitter seeing people at work or on your timeline with bouquets of flowers or chocolate covered strawberries. But guess what, you can “surprise” yourself with a special delivery from you!

(The  best part about this is that you know exactly what you like and can’t go wrong!)
