How to Refocus & Slay Your 2019 Goals

How to Refocus & Slay Your 2019 Goals

Now that a successful hot girl summer season has come to a close, it is time get back on track with our 2019 goals (in case you fell off).

I’ve accomplished SO many of the goals I scribbled down at the end of 2018 — starting a YouTube channel, consistent content/blogging, traveling, etc. But I’m not going to lie, some of my goals have yet to receive an accomplished check mark.

The good news is, it’s not too late! Today I’m going to be sharing how to slay your 2019 goals as we enter the 4th quarter!

Write down all of your goals/New Years resolutions that you’ve struggled to achieve thus far. Remember why you set each goal!

What do you need to do to achieve each goal? Get a planner or notebook and write these things down, then execute. Be sure to block out time in your day to work towards each goal.

Example: reading 15 minutes a day to read more books, Going to the gym 30 minutes a day if you’re trying to lose weight, spending an hour a day creating content to build your brand.

STOP Procrastinating

Procrastination is the killer of all dreams and productivity. My philosophy is to get like NIKE and just do it! Don’t hesitate, overthink, or stay stuck on how big your goal or resolution is. JUST DO IT!

Practice New Habits to Stay Motivated

Read an inspirational book. Autobiographies are the best; like Michelle Obama’s Becoming (one of my faves).

Stop listening to the radio and start listening to podcasts (or an audio book). Listen to one that’s related to your goal — starting a business, saving money, growing your YouTube channel, etc).

Wake up earlier than you usually do. The earlier you wake up, the more time in the day you have to get things done! Time you would otherwise spend sleeping can actually be spent working towards your your goals. I love waking up at 7:30am most days. I have time for the gym, reading, cleaning, creating content and so much more!

This is honestly my number one game-changing strategy! Work hard, pray hard! Whatever you’re lacking, ask God to provide. Also, Don’t underestimate his timing. I’ve seen so much growth with my blogging this year, I just knew next year would be the year that I would gain paid collaborations. But God blew my mind, and made it happen this year. I’ve been putting in a lot of work and prayer, and it is so amazing to see it all pay off!

I hope you slay your 4th Quarter!
