Fenty Skin First Impression Review

I’ve been eagerly waking up to wash my face every morning, and just as eagerly rushing to the bathroom before bed to — YEP — wash my face with the NEW Fenty Skin line.

Rihanna’s new skincare line consists of three products: a Total cleans’r, Fat Water pore refining toner and serum, and a Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer — and yes I ordered them all. I mean how could I not?!

I honestly already started falling in love with this line before receiving any products, because Ri is an oily skin girl and SO AM I. It’s definitely reflected in this line as it focuses on refining pores and eliminating dark spots. I also love that all of these products are clean, vegan and gluten-free.

Okay, now that I’m done with all the raving, let’s get into my initial impression of each product!

1. Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser

This product is a cleanser and makeup remover all in one. It has a convenient twist-to-open cap. A little bit goes a long way to create a foamy lather to apply to your face. Although this can be used on all skin types, it is GREAT for oily skin. Foaming cleansers are known to remove oil and sebum, unclog you’re pores and remove layers of makeup. I love that this cleanser doesn’t strip your skin. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated, soft and clean after use. I would highly recommend paying attention to making sure you twist the cleanser cap back closed after use, so that you don’t waste any product.

2. Fat Water Pore Refining Toner Serum

I just love the name “fat water”, lol. I also love that this is both a toner and serum. You don’t need to use a cotton ball or pad, just your hands/fingers. This product is said to instantly refine the look of pores, reduce the look of dark spots, even skin tone and fight shine without stripping skin. The consistency isn’t too thick or too light, and again, it feels so good on your skin. It also smells good and has the same convenient twist-cap similar to the Total Cleanser. Plus the packaging is too cute, and resemble a Voss water bottle.

3. Hydra Visor Invisible Moisturizer

This moisturizer is probably the most fragrant out of all of the products. However, it’s not as bad as some are making it out to be. It still has a clean scent, and personally I like the smell and don’t find it to be too overpowering. This product is said to light-as-air hydration while defending and brightening the skin, and reducing the look of pores. I love that this moisturizer is refillable. I also love how it leaves my skin feeling afterwards — clean and non sticky. BONUS: this product has SPF 30!

Overall, my first impression of the new Fenty Skin line is that I LOVE it! However, this is based on one use of all of the products. I will be using this line for the next two weeks and giving a final impression update. Make sure you’re subscribed to my blog and YouTube so that you don’t miss it!

If you’ve had a chance to get the Fenty Skin line, what are your thoughts?
